Highlights from Adrian's Television Career
2010 was a busy year for Adrian. He appeared on BBC's Breakfast News covering an environmental news topic about the contentious issue of grey squirrels in the UK and worked on BBC's Panorama: Dying for a Biscuit investigating the palm oil industry in Indonesia and its devastating environmental impact. Adrian also presented Orang-U-Can for Parthenon Entertainment. A pilot for a new series, this character based show offered a personal insight into the daily trials faced by a unique population of orangutans in Borneo.
Previously, Adrian has also tracked down unusual monkey stories in Monkey Mojo (new series pilot) and presented Gibbons: Back in the Swing for Animal Planet, where he investigated the problems faced by gibbons in Thailand and the effect that the tourist industry is having on their welfare.
He was studio host and location presenter for Sky Television's Rural Matters and host and interviewer in Wildlife Heroes (Aqua Vita Films).
In 2007 Adrian won Best Newcomer at the International Wildlife Film Festival (IWFF) for Woolly Jumpers: Made in Peru – Animal Planet / Discovery Networks. This was an investigative portrayal of the pressures faced by woolly monkeys in Peru - where a personal and sometimes undercover quest for knowledge ran parallel with the evolving lives of two baby monkeys and their journey to return to the wild.
For younger audiences Adrian presented the heart-warming programme about rehabilitating monkeys in South Africa - Make me a Monkey (Electric Sky Distribution).
Creative, hands on and the ultimate professional
Although Adrian is recognised for his television presenting and reporting, he is also an accomplished producer, writer, narrator and camera operator - equally at home either side of the lens.
