Andy Rouse is one of the world's leading wildlife photographers. He has won many awards for his work and has a reputation for searching out and photographing wildlife in natural habitats to visually tell a story or to express through his lens the incredible beauty of the natural world.
Much of his time is spent travelling the world in search of rare and dangerous species. He has photographed grizzly bears in Alaska, tigers in India and Thailand, giant pandas in China. He has dived with humpback whales in the Caribbean and got up close to polar bears in the Arctic. He has photographed native species in North America and Canada, the Far East, Japan, Borneo and New Zealand.
Andy is equally at home exploring the British Isles where his curiosity sees him tracking down and photographing native species.
Versatile & inspirational
Whatever the terrain or weather Andy aims to show his subjects to their greatest advantage. He is experimental and artistic; but he can also produce expert classic portraiture when appropriate.
Andy Rouse has been the subject of two television series (on Channel 5 and Discovery). He regularly appears on TV in shows such as the Richard & Judy Show, Channel 5's Tiger Tiger, Meridian TV WildWatch with Chris Packham and NBC.
Andy is no stranger to the stage and gives illustrated lectures to general and specialist audiences such as the auspicious Royal Zoological Society. He is also a published author of 15 books covering different species, eco-systems and photographic technique. He writes a column for Amateur Photographer magazine.
