Sue Monroe is a popular television presenter, recognised for her warm, relaxed style that is ideal for daytime and childrens' television. She has appeared daily on BBC1, BBC2, GMTV, ITV1, CITV and the CITV digital channel.
Much of her experience has been on live television and she is best known for
her 4½ years as a daily presenter for Cbeebies. Sue joined Cbeebies at its
inception and was instrumental in the rapid growth and popularity of this
channel. It was not only children who responded to Sue Monroe. Feedback
has shown that her appeal was just as much to parents.
Currently she is on GMTV daily, presenting the programme links for 'WAKEY! WAKEY!' - part of GMTV's children's output.
'WAKEY! WAKEY! is shown at weekends on GMTV and daily on CITV and the CITV digital channel.
Television, Radio, Voice-overs
Sue worked on the 'Numbertime/Lettertime' series and was a regular
co-presenter of 'Playdays', shown daily on the BBC. Sue was also a regular
presenter of '1,2,3,4,5' and 'Storytime' on BBC Radio Five.
Sue is an experienced voice-over artist and puppeteer.
Interior Designer & Artist
Sue is a passionate designer and artist. As well as her involvement in
interior design, she has also been commissioned to produce hand drawn murals
for children's bedrooms.
Sue's creative challenges entertained viewers daily on Cbeebies where she
specialised in the 'makes' and art items.
