Atul Kumar
Wildlife & Environment Presenter, Consultant, Writer and Voiceover Artist
Atul is an experienced presenter and interviewer, with previous guests including Sir David Attenborough and Chris Packham. He has hosted a number of environmental and charity films, including for The Conservation Volunteers, Environment Agency and Buttle UK, as well as shorts for his website and Youtube channel. He has hosted live events for environmental organisations, and has discussed environmental politics live on Sky News and ITV.
Atul Kumar gets stuck into what really matters for wildlife: raising the money needed to conserve it! He works as a fundraising consultant advising wildlife and conservation charities across the UK on their strategies.
Atul is a passionate advocate for wildlife, fundraising by communicating the benefits that wildlife conservation brings to us all: reducing climate change, improving physical and mental health, learning from nature with medical and technological advances, outdoor education, and improving our quality of life. He has worked with Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, the Environment Agency, Campaign to Protect Rural England, Amphibian and Reptile Conservation, Chester Zoo and local Wildlife Trusts.
Atul has hosted environmentally focussed radio shows for Unity 101FM and London Fields Radio. Since 2017 he hosts two podcasts covering environmental, wildlife and conservation issues: Atul’s Earth, which is an investigative look at current environmental and conservation issues, and Alien Places, which is big picture thinking about the environment and wildlife from the perspective of an alien.
Atul has written a number of articles and sustainable restaurant reviews. His feature film and short film scripts communicate environmental solutions, such as Minnie and The Ambulance. His forthcoming book Alien Places is a fictional scenario where he shows an alien around the world to explain real life environmental issues and practical solutions to climate change and the loss of wildlife, communicated through a fun, entertaining and emotional journey.
