Stuntman and presenter Nicholas Daines displays his talents on the silver screen around the world once again performing in Brad Pitt’s latest blockbuster ‘World War Z’.

Nicholas Daines: “It was a fantastic project to be part of and a real thrill to work with Brad. He is such a nice down to earth guy and really easy to film the stunt action around him. The scenes I did were filmed in Malta, which in the movie actually doubled for Israel. Filming was tough in the midday heat on the streets of Malta, but it is definitely one of the highlights of my career.”

As a real life expert in the field of epidemiology it was back to his academic roots in this race against time to stop a pandemic toppling armies and governments and threatening humanity itself.

“As always fact is stranger than fiction and to be part of a movie which in part addresses the very real concerns and potential consequences of a virus on the rampage was quiet poetic. The retrovirus pandemic of 1918 was responsible for more than 50 million deaths, and more recently the H1N1 pandemic of 2009 also took an unnerving toll on the population. With the CDC currently monitoring the H7N9 Avian Influenza situation in China it is not a million miles away from the seemingly outrageous zombie outbreak in WWZ.”

Stuntman Nicholas yanked in all directions

In the movie the stunts were to be as virulent as the Zombie virus and being taken out by the zombies was made as violent as possible with specially designed wire stunts rapidly yanking Nicholas in all manner of directions.

Nicholas is fast becoming regular part of the Brangelina phenomenon as he also teamed up with Angelina Jolie to perform stunts on her much anticipated 2014 Disney release ‘Maleficent’.
