Maya Plass’s new book shows the incredible diversity of our British coastal waters

Illustrated with over 200 beautiful colour photographs of marine species and packed with invaluable information, Maya’s book – “RSPB Handbook of the Seashore”- will inspire every trip to the coast.

Maya Plass: “The photos in my book truly represent the incredible diversity of our British coastal waters and includes how to use tide tables, where to look, information about the value and conservation of our seashore and who to call should you find an unusual species or a stranding. As well as the species accounts my book aims to share some of the intriguing stories of the species’ adaptations, life cycles and anatomy enhanced with original, intricate illustrations.”

“RSPB Handbook of the Seashore” is published 23rd May 2013.

Maya will be at the National Marine Aquarium signing copies of her book on May 29th and the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth on 1st June.
