Nick Baker presents new BBC Two series: Springwatch in the Afternoon
David Foster Management is delighted to announce that TV naturalist Nick Baker will be hosting the new Springwatch in the Afternoon on BBC Two as part of the BBC’s Summer of Wildlife.
The new two week series starts at 3pm on Tuesday 28th May, broadcasting live from the Springwatch field base at RSPB Ynys-hir nature reserve in mid-Wales.
This year spring has arrived unusually late so Nick will be offering plenty of advice and inspiration about how to make the most of our fascinating and remarkable wildlife. He will also be taking us behind-the-scenes to meet the Springwatch team at the impressive broadcast site – chatting to presenters, production crew and field experts.
Nick Baker: “What excites me the most is that we’ll be getting a live insight into the animals’ lives at a different time of day. Just like humans, animals have their routines, so for the many Springwatch fans we’ll have the luxury of being able to tune in to the animals in front the cameras to see what they are up in the afternoon.
“Springwatch in the Afternoon will also aim to empower and inspire those who are teetering on the edge of interest in our wildlife and countryside but are not exactly sure how to make that first leap – we’ll be a helpful and friendly hand to hold! I’m really looking forward to it!”
Springwatch in the Afternoon is a Springwatch Daytime and Learning co-commission.
