Kieran has over 20 years experience performing, presenting and voicing in both the entertainment and corporate worlds. He also has solid ‘real world’ experience in the fields of education and business. He has taken on the challenging role of department head at one of Oxford’s prestigious colleges and has run his own language school.
Kieran’s background makes him an ideal candidate to move into television presenting. He is adept at working in any creative and artistic environment, as well as having technical proficiency in his field. Trained in Drama and Performing Arts, Kieran’s strengths are his ability to present information to audiences in a clear and fluent form, and to narrate voice-overs with purpose and clarity.
One of Kieran’s areas of specialism is travel, in particular Central Europe where his work as a trainer of language delivery and presentation took him into blue chip multinational companies. In Poland he worked with the armed forces in NATO and the corporate multi-nationals, like GlaxoSmithKline.
With his background in UK and international education, Kieran’s expertise and global contacts add value to any project in this area. He has in-depth knowledge of secondary education in this country and is a veteran of the growing international student market, both of which are highly topical news items, especially during exam results months and with concerns over immigration.
Kieran has a very good knowledge of WWII equipment and vehicles stemming from his education and his keen interest in military aircraft and weapons – military hardware past and present – including the technical aspects of weapons and vehicles.
His knowledge of European WW2 history is a mix of academia to university level and living history due to his relationship with Poland, where the history of German and then Russian occupation is still keenly felt.
Kieran has a keen interest in all forms of combat and is well versed in Judo and other styles of martial arts.
In his teenage years he served as a Naval cadet at HMS Devonport in Plymouth.
Earlier in his career Kieran acted in theatrical performances throughout Europe and North America. He won Best Newcomer at the Folger Shakespeare Festival in Washington DC in 1990. In 1995, with Working Title Films in London, he worked on the production of French Kiss and went on to perform in several seasons with the New Shakespeare Company at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. He then spent 10 years teaching Drama and Media Studies in Oxford and now focusses full time on his acting and presenting careers.
Kieran is a fresh face to front a new television series, yet with a background that brings interest, credibility and experience.
